Meteora: a man fell off a cliff

On Monday morning, March 20, a man was found dead in the mountains of Meteora.

Authorities first found the man’s jacket and identified him. According to tameteora.gr, this is a 35-year-old resident of Athens who went missing and was wanted by his family.

On Monday, an abandoned motorcycle was seen on the road near the monastery of the Holy Triada, which aroused suspicion. The police decided to find the owner of the vehicle and find out from him what he was doing here. During the search, a jacket was found on the top of the rock, next to the monastery. Today, an organized search began for a citizen whose identity has been established. As a result, the body of a man is found on the path, right under the rock.

Extraction from the gorge is difficult and will be completed at noon with the assistance of the 8th EMAK. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated by the Meteora Police Department.
