The amount of EUR 24,014,665.53 was paid by ΟΠΕΚ ΕΠΕ from 9 to 17 March 2023 to 4,847 beneficiary farmers and livestock breeders.
Most of it concerns the payment under the assistance program “Measure 22” (Μέτρου 22) “Emergency temporary support for farmers and small agricultural enterprises / entrepreneurs significantly affected by the consequences of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.” The subsidy concerned the provision (or purchase) of feed. As noted, 3750 livestock breeders became beneficiaries. They were paid an amount of EUR 7,125,334.50.
The amount of 3 045 979.58 euros was paid to 437 recipients in 2022 under the program “Measure 10” (μέτρου 22) “Preservation of the indigenous people of the indigenous peoples” (“διατήρuce απειλούμεν αυτόχθονων φυλών”), as well as to 311 recipients (year of assistance to recipients 2023) an amount of EUR 1,571,314.17.
Beneficiaries of investment programs: local initiative groups of leaders, young farmers, beekeepers, gardeners. They were also provided with technical assistance, materials for planting (seeds, seedlings, etc.), resources (tools) and transportation of all this to the islands of the Aegean Sea.
