Tempi: was the head of the station Larisa at his post

The investigation into the Tempi crash that claimed 57 lives is ongoing. Currently, experts are studying the possibility that the head of the station could not be present at his workplace at that moment.

Meanwhile, Ms. Georgia Simeridou, a cleaning lady who has been cleaning the office of the Larissa station for the past two years, says:

“There were evenings when there was little music and they would sit there and it was a relaxed atmosphere.”

With fear of losing her job and at the same time paying tribute to the “lost” who she said had gone so unfairly, she told about what I saw:

“I have been a cleaner for 2 years. My schedule was in the evening. There were many shortcomings in the railway lines, in photo markings and other things. In Lianoklady, work was being done nearby – something was constantly being repaired there, but there was no end to this. There were always train delays. Communication between drivers and stationmasters was carried out by radio or telephone service. The walkie-talkie that they have and the phone from 1975, does that mean anything to you? It’s all old stuff. The panel, it seemed to me, was not powerful enough, it did not work properly. But I’m not an expert…”
