Pharmacists in Attica announced a four-hour work stoppage on Wednesday in support of a strike caused by the aftermath of the Tempe train disaster.
Pharmaceutical Association of Attica said that pharmacies will be closed from 11:00 to 15:00.
Their colleagues in Thessaloniki said they would strike from 11:30 to 14:30.
On-duty pharmacies will cooperate during business breaks.
As we reported earlier, on March 8, a general strike will take place in Greece.
Transport workers announced a stop or complete cessation of work (see publication General strike in Greece on March 8), as well as most government agencies and many private enterprises.
There were reports of a strike taxi drivers. In a statement Tuesday evening, their union SATA called on its members to attend a protest rally and pre-meeting at 10:30 am.
