Tourism: increased interest of German holidaymakers in Halkidiki

The increased interest of German vacationers in Halkidiki was noted during the International Tourism Exhibition F.RE.E. (Fair of leisure and travel), which took place a few days ago in Munich.

According to the Thessaloniki Tourism Organization, which took part in the event, German tourists prefer Halkidiki as it is easily accessible, has adequate infrastructure and combines exotic beaches, outdoor activities and unique attractions. On the other hand, Thessaloniki is a culinary paradise that harmoniously combines modern infrastructure with its centuries-old history, thus enriching the tourist product.

For his part, the president of the Halkidiki Tourist Organization and the Panhellenic Federation of Hoteliers, Grigoris Tassios, noted that “German travelers are leading in terms of arrivals.”
