Why was my Market Pass application rejected?

Those beneficiaries who made mistakes or failed to apply for the Market Pass card will receive a “second chance” to avoid losing the government subsidy. However, for some there is no hope.

Within 24 hours of the launch of the Market Pass platform, the number of purchase subsidy applications exceeded two million. Currently interest is focused on long-awaited payments, and officials announced they would “give out the money” on March 3.

Anyone who chooses an intangible card will receive 100% of the amount for each current month. Anyone who chooses to deposit to their account will receive the amount reduced by 20% in two installments – on March 3 and May 3, writes dikaiologitika.gr.

However, there are those who will not receive the Market Pass:

  • Singles with an annual income of more than 16,000 euros.
  • Married couples with an income of more than 24,000 euros (surcharge of 5,000 euros for each child).
  • Single-parent families with an income of more than 24,000 euros (an additional fee of 5,000 euros is charged for each dependent child).

Who was denied on the criterion of “real estate”

  • Singles who have a property worth more than 250,000 euros.
  • Married couples with property worth more than 400,000 euros.

At the same time, the following remain outside the Market Pass (for any other reason):

  • dependent household members or accommodated guests (εξαρτώμενα μέλη ή φιλοξενούνται),
  • citizens who are taxed on luxury (have luxury cars, boats, swimming pools, etc.),
  • are foreign tax residents,
  • did not file a tax return last year.

In the event that the applicant is not a beneficiary or makes a mistake, then after the prescribed checks, his application will be classified as “REJECTED”. In case of refusal, the recipient will be notified by e-mail specified in the application. In this case, the interested party will be able to change and re-apply until 03/15/2023.

It is reminded that from Friday, February 24, those who wish will be able to apply to KEP (Service Centre). The deadline for submitting applications remains the same – until March 15, while the first payments will be made in early March.
