The vouchers.gov.gr platform for the Market Pass will be launched on Wednesday 22 February, government spokesman Georgios Gerapetritis announced.
Speaking on ANT1 today, Mr. Gerapetritis said that “on Wednesday, February 22, the platform for applying for “food card”. Thus, over the next six months, citizens will “breathe” thanks to state financial assistance.
The monthly purchase limit per household is: 220 euros for singles, increasing by 100 euros for each additional member, up to 1000 euros. The above amounts will be credited monthly to a digital debit card that can only be used at food retail outlets. In case the beneficiary decides to make a deposit to a bank account, the amounts are paid quarterly and the subsidy amount will be 80% of the above amounts. The application can be submitted until March 15 (on vouchers.gov.gr or at the CEP).
- To do this, you will need: Taxisnet codes, mobile phone number, email, IBAN (for account replenishment).
- Supporting documents: NOT provided.
- The subsidy is due to all members of the household (and not to each individual).
- Duration of measure: 6 months (February-July 2023).
- Monthly subsidy: from 22 to 100 euros (up to 600 euros for 6 months).
Attention! Those who apply by February 28 will receive payment on March 3. That being said, those who applied from 1/3 to 15/3 will receive a refund on March 20. Subsequent payments will be due at the beginning of each month. Purchases can be made at:
- supermarkets.
- Grocery stores.
- Butcher shops.
- Confectionery.
- Dairy stores.
- bakeries.
- Fish shops.
The use of a digital card is possible until the end of August of the current year.
