It is still unclear whether the object shot down over Lake Huron was related to other incidents that occurred over the weekend. The Federal Aviation Administration temporarily closed airspace to civilian flights, first over Montana and then over Lake Michigan, to support the Department of Defense operation. The airspace was later reopened.
