Cyber ​​attack on NATO sites

On Sunday, February 12, NATO sites were attacked by hackers, experts suggest that the Killnet group was operating.

How informs dpa, the Russia-linked hacker group Killnet, has announced a cyberattack on Alliance websites. On Sunday, NSHQ, the website for the headquarters of the Special Operations Forces, stopped opening. The press service confirmed that experts are “dealing with an incident directed against several sites.” After that, there were no statements in connection with the incident.

The Killnet hacker group is known for a series of cyberattacks against many countries in Europe.

During an investigation by the Portuguese cybersecurity services, it was found that the targets of the attack were the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the Army Intelligence Service and the Ministry of Defense. Allegedly, the hackers worked with the help of bots that were looking for a certain type of files.
