The government’s announcement of the Lenten Basket is expected to take place on Wednesday 15 February.

Deputy Development Minister Nikos Papathanasis said Wednesday will be announced 4-5 “Easter” products that will be included in itThis:

“Three products will be added to the family basket (by Easter), which the inhabitants of the country traditionally buy during Lent. The Easter basket will keep prices stable,” the official said.

In addition, Mr. Papatanasis, in an interview with ERT journalists, also emphasized the importance of the “Family Basket” as a measure of assistance in general, stating that “prices remain stable for about three and a half months”: “Let’s buy goods from the” basket “, which in any case keeps prices fixed. After all, a family of four can benefit from 80 euros per month plus 52 euros (MarketPass), which will receive 85% of the population. So, in general, state assistance will amount to about 132 euros.”

Finally, he noted that the list of products will also be posted in electronic form so that everyone can see the prices of products and choose.
