Police officers from the Anti-Drug Department of the Patras Police discovered a criminal network of drug dealers that imported drugs from Germany.
According to the police, on Monday afternoon, three criminals left Athens in two cars, after which, at the appointed place, they met the fourth detainee, their accomplice, in the parking lot of the Athens-Patra highway. There was a transfer of a large consignment of drugs – crystal methamphetamine. At that moment, officers of the prosecutor’s office for combating drugs intervened, immobilizing and arresting four men.
During operational operations, police officers searched four detainees and vehicles. As a result, about five kilograms of methamphetamine were found. According to police, during the investigation it was established that the truck driver worked as a drug courier, transporting drugs from Germany to Greece.
Meanwhile, during subsequent searches of the houses of those arrested in the Attica districts, the police found, among other things, 217.5 grams of marijuana, 58 cartridges of 9 mm and 38 mm caliber, as well as electronic scales.
According to the police, the illegal financial gain that drug dealers were going to receive from drug trafficking is estimated at around 150,000 euros. The arrested were taken to the Prosecutor’s Office of Athens. The investigation is ongoing.
