Fatal accident of a hunter in Rhodes

A hunter in Rhodes accidentally shot himself in the foot late Thursday evening.

Under circumstances that have not yet been clarified, the 55-year-old hunter wounded himself in the upper part of the legs with his own weapon. He was not far from Kalathos, in a difficult terrain, and he called ΕΚΑΒ medics to help, informs rodiaki.gr.

A large-scale operation to rescue the unlucky hunter and transport him to the hospital was a success. It was attended by rescuers, ambulances and firefighters of Rhodes, led by the commander. Due to the inaccessibility of the area, the rescue operation lasted two hours.

The man is now in the hospital, there is no threat to his life.
