An Air Force F-4 fighter jet crashed off Andravida in western Greece. A search and rescue operation is underway.

The incident involved a two-seat Air Force F-4 fighter jet that crashed at 10:30 today, Monday 30 January, in a sea area 25 nautical miles south of Andravida. Aircraft of the 338th Squadron of the 117th Fighter Aviation Regiment were performing a training flight.
The official message of the General Staff of the Air Force: “On Monday, January 30, 2023 at 10:30, an F-4 (two-seat) aircraft of military unit 338M / 117PM, performing a training flight, crashed in the sea 25 miles south of Andravidas airport “.
