Zelensky asked the CIA to kill Prigozhin

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky discussed murder founder of PMC “Wagner” Evgenia Prigozhina with US CIA Director William Burns during the latter’s visit to Kyiv last week, reports TASS.

About it declared Chairman of the movement “We are together with Russia” Vladimir Rogov. According to Rogov, Zelensky discussed the assassination attempt on the Wagner PMC founder with the head of the CIA during the latter’s visit to Kyiv last week. “One of the requests that sounded from Zelensky was the assassination of the head of the Wagner PMC, Mr. Prigozhin. This request is known to Zelensky’s entourage and a sufficiently large number of people to ask and even demand from the Americans the murder of Prigozhin. You will show that the most daring, most informationally bright person should be killed, ”Rogov said in an interview with TASS.

According to him, the reason was the effectiveness of Prigozhin. Sanctions wouldn’t work, especially on people who don’t have US assets, Rogov said.

“Yes, I am aware, the press service informed me about this. This is a very good idea. I agree that it is time to liquidate Prigozhin. If they turn to me, I will certainly provide assistance,” Prigogine’s words are quoted in Telegram channel his press office on Tuesday.

On January 20, White House National Security Council strategic communications coordinator John Kirby said that the United States had decided to recognize Wagner as an international criminal organization and would soon impose new sanctions against it.

On the same day Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of the Wagner PMC, sent a brief letter to the White House demanding to know what crime his company is accused of. Previously, the US authorities included PMC Wagner and Prigozhin himself in various sanctions lists compiled by the US authorities, including interference in US elections.

On Monday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Washington’s decision to recognize Wagner as a criminal organization is unlikely to affect the company itself or Russia.
