In Germany, the shooting of the GW950m wolf is allowed, which dared to bite the favorite pony of the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
As writes BB.LV, the wolf lives in German Lower Saxony, it is there that the permission to shoot the “problem” animal, which is listed in official papers under the “name” GW950m, was announced.
The weekly Spiegel says that since 2018, this predator has killed more than 40 animals – cows, bulls, sheep and horses. That is, the wolf “under the pseudonym” GW950m managed to cause serious damage to the animal husbandry of the region. However, the last straw of patience of the Lower Saxon authorities was the incident when a restless predator tore Dolly’s pony, which belonged to the head of the EC, Ursula von der Leyen.
Now hunters at the legislative level have the right to shoot a wolf, without fear of being accused of killing an animal without a proper license. They are allowed to use binoculars and night vision scopes – this is strictly prohibited in normal hunting.
However, the one who manages to shoot the gray predator will have to prove that it was the GW950m that became the trophy.
