Eve Kylie "tortured" in a Belgian prison, says her Greek lawyer

Eva Kaili was subjected to “torture reminiscent of the Middle Ages,” her Greek lawyer said on Thursday afternoon after a hearing before a judicial council in Brussels that decided whether she would remain in pre-trial detention or be temporarily released with an electronic ankle bracelet.

Kylie’s testimony in court lasted about 1.5 hours. The judge’s decision is expected later on Thursday. Eva Kaili, former Vice President of the European Parliament, has been in detention for about 40 days. A few weeks ago, she asked for temporary release under house arrest, subject to wearing an electronic ankle bracelet.
