Weather Forecast: Winter Coming to Greece in a Week

Snowfall is expected in two regions of Greece on Thursday, and a drop in temperature is coming from January 25.

Meteorologist Sakis Arnautoglu warns about this, talking about the gradual evolution of the weather. Changes will come from the northwest as early as Thursday January 18 – storms and showers are expected in western and northwestern Greece, and heavy snowfall is expected in the mountains of Epirus, at an altitude of 1300 meters and above.

On Friday, January 19, rain is expected in most of Greece, in places with thunderstorms and showers. From the middle of the day, these phenomena will intensify in the western Peloponnese and in Epirus. Precipitation in the form of snow is expected in mountainous areas throughout the country at an altitude of 1100 m and above. And already on the morning of Saturday, January 20, heavy snowfalls are predicted at low altitudes, below 1000 meters, in Western Macedonia and Epirus.

On Sunday, the weather will remain unchanged, and from January 25, a significant drop in temperature is expected.
