As a result of a helicopter crash in Brovary, Kyiv region, the top leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine died: Interior Minister Denis Monastyrsky, First Deputy Interior Minister Yevgeny Enin and State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Yuriy Lubkovich. A total of 16 victims, including 2 children.
Head of the National Police Igor Klymenko informs:
“On the morning of January 18, a State Emergency Service helicopter crashed in Brovary. As a result of a plane crash, the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs died: the minister, the first deputy minister and the secretary of state. In total, 16 dead are known so far, of which 2 are children. Of these, 9 were on board the helicopter.”
22 victims are in the hospital, of which 10 are children. All relevant and specialized services work on site. Investigation of the scene continues.
