The Greek invented the drone fighter and … sold the patent to Turkey

A Greek entrepreneur and inventor who has been in business for the past 40 years has invented a system that uses laser beams to destroy drones.

Konstantinos Sukos presented his special vehicle, dubbed “Minotaur”, in a live broadcast to the Greek blogger Nikos Theologos, the Bulgarian edition reports. bulgarianmilitary. The combat vehicle is equipped with a laser, which within three seconds is able to “roast the butt” of any drone flying at a certain height. This military technology was offered to Turkey at an exhibition in France, and according to the Greek publication News AutoMr. Sukos allegedly agreed to Turkey’s proposal for joint cooperation.

The Minotaur doesn’t just destroy drones with a laser gun, it does it without human intervention. The engineer said that he has been working on this device for about 13 years. At the moment, the prototype “Minotaur” is located at the enterprise of Mr. Sukos. In recent months, the Greek media have shown serious interest in this technology. However, there is no information yet on whether the Minotaur was offered to the Greek government and, if so, at what stage the negotiations are.

According to the Bulgarian publication, Sukos has no production capacity. He is an inventor and sells his patents to interested parties. Over his 40-year career, he has developed many domestic servant robots that he says “can cook, wash dishes or serve coffee.”

The engineer believes that one of his main achievements and a source of pride is the technology developed many years ago for the destruction of expired munitions, including high-risk munitions, such as chemical weapons. This system, called Castalia, was sold to the United States Department of Defense “for tens of millions of euros.”

On the video you can see a detailed interview of blogger Theologos with the Greek inventor and businessman Konstantinos Sukos. The video demonstrates the impact of a beam of laser beams on a static target, which, after firing the beam, lights up, after which the worker is forced to extinguish the fire with water. Check it out, it’s very entertaining.
