Tremors measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale rocked Lesbos a few minutes ago.

The earthquake occurred three days after seismic shocks measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale in the same area. According to the Geodynamic Institute, today’s earthquake occurred 5 km east/southeast of Mythimna on the island of Lesvos, it was shallow with a focal depth of 12.4 km.

The Euro-Mediterranean Institute assessed the earthquake at 5 on the Richter scale, 12 km north of the village of Agia Paraskevi on the island of Lesbos and with a focal depth of 10 km.
