Technical consultant, forensic scientist Urania Dimakopulou some time ago issued her own verdict in the case of Georgina’s death. According to her, the fact that she had previously taken a more cautious position was due to the fact that, firstly, she was not informed about the entire conclusion of the forensic experts, and secondly, her testimony was transmitted in fragments. According to the information, the medical examiner’s report for both Georgina and the other two girls, Malena and Irida, is 20 pages long.

For his part, Alexis Kougias, the lawyer for Rula Pispirigo, stressed that the trial will begin next Wednesday, January 11, when the girls’ mother will testify about the deaths of her other two children. The lawyer noted that “just for the investigator to be able to read the 120 pages that we have prepared, it will take many hours.”

Finally, at the end of the court session, which took place today, the lawyer of the unfortunate mother left the building without making any statements, despite the constant questions of the journalists who besieged him, which also concerned the testimony of the former husband of Rula Pispirigou, the father of the deceased children Manos Daskalakis.

The publication iefimerida.gr in the title of the article put the phrase that the mother of the girls allegedly said at the trial, i.e. the dose of ketamine was not lethal, but medicinal, in her opinion. The 6 mg of ketamine per ml of blood found in the child’s blood by the medical examiner was most likely injected intravenously, causing death in less than 10 minutes. The amount of ketamine was such that it would kill even an adult. Ketamine did not have time to metabolize (since it takes 1.5 hours, but the child died, and in this case the substance did not have time to decompose), and therefore was discovered, the medical examiner notes.

Forensic expert Sotiris Buzianis testified on Wednesday morning to police officers of the Department for the Prosecution of Crimes Against Life. The time of manifestation of side effects of ketamine is:

• immediate (seconds) after intravenous administration,
• 1-5 minutes after intramuscular injection,
• 5-10 minutes intranasally,
• 15-20 minutes when administered orally.

Intravenous ketamine may cause sleep apnea, which, if left untreated, leads to respiratory and cardiac arrest. Other side effects caused by ketamine are tachycardia, depression, arterial hypertension, convulsions, heart rhythm disturbances, nausea, vomiting, etc.
