Today at 03:52 in the morning there was an earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale, which was strongly felt throughout Mytilini.
According to the Geodynamic Institute of Athens, the epicenter of the tremors was four kilometers west/northwest of Mandamados, in the Lepetimnos area. The focus depth was 17.5 km.
The main shock was followed by a series of aftershocks – at 04:01 the strongest of them was recorded, with a magnitude of 3.3 on the Richter scale and with an epicenter in the marine area, between Μυτιλήνης and Μικρασιατικών.
