In Chania, the attention of reporters was attracted by a boy who, on the day of Epiphany, was not afraid to jump into the icy waves to catch the cross.
The little brave hero is called Christos, he is only 8 years old, and together with his father Dimitris, he dived into the sea (the port of Suda) to catch the cross during the ceremony of consecrating the waters on the day of Epiphany.
The little one followed the custom, of course, with the help of his father, who, as seen in the photographs, supported him at sea. For little Christos, this was the first time he dived. And apparently he didn’t have a problem with cold water, as “daddy’s back was warm,” as he told flashnews.gr.
On the other hand, this was not the first time for his father, as in the past he had already dived into the sea to Feofaniya for the cross.
