ΕΣΠΑ will allocate 350 million euros for "green transition plan"

Two new programs ΕΣΠΑ with a total budget of 350 million euros – “Green Transformation” of small and medium-sized enterprises (ΜμΕ) and “Green Production Investments ΜμΕ” – will be “launched” in 2023.

The first program “Green Transformation ΜμΕ” (ΜμΕ – Transformation of Small and Medium Enterprises) concerns enterprises with a subsidized investment project budget of 200,001 to 1,000,000 euros.

The second program “Green productive investments ΜμΕ” concerns enterprises with a subsidized investment project budget of 30,000 to 200,000 euros.

Applications for financing can only be submitted within the framework of “Action 1 – Green Transformation μμε” (“δράση 1 – πράσινος μετασχηματισμός μμε” or “Action 2 – green productive investments μμε” (“δράση παραγωγική επένδυση μμε”).

“Action 1 – Green Transformation ΜμΕ” refers to investment projects aimed at the operation and development of modern technologies, the modernization of products and/or services and activities in general, giving preference to actions using modern technologies, infrastructure and best practices in the field of energy modernization, circular economy and implementation of clean energy sources.

The subsidized budget of the investment project may not exceed twice the maximum turnover achieved in one of the three (or less if the company had no turnover for three) financial years in the year preceding the application for funding, but not more than 1 million euros.

The budgetary amounts provided cannot exceed the limit of 150 million euros per year. The maximum term for completion of the physical and financial scope of the investment project may not exceed 24 months from the date of the decision on inclusion.

“Action 2 – Green Production Investment ΜμΕ” refers to small investment projects aimed at the operation and development of modern technologies, the modernization of products and/or services and their activities in general, giving preference to actions using modern technologies, infrastructure and best practices in the field of modernization energy, circular economy and transition to clean sources.

The subsidized budget of each investment project ranges from 30,000 to 200,000 euros. The subsidized budget of the investment project may not exceed twice the maximum turnover achieved in one of the three (or less if the enterprise does not have three) financial years in the year preceding the application for funding, but not more than 200,000 euros.

The maximum term for completion of the physical and economic scope of the investment project may not exceed 24 months from the date of the decision on inclusion.
