Detailed weather forecast for the New Year

According to weather forecasts, almost spring weather is expected in most of Greece on New Year’s Eve, according to the National Meteorological Service.

In some regions it will be cloudy until noon, local light rains are possible on the islands of the eastern Aegean Sea and the Dodecanese. Visibility is limited in places by morning fogs, mainly in continental areas. The strength of the alternating wind will practically not exceed 2-3 points on the Beaufort scale, and only at sea is it possible to increase it to 4 points. The temperature in the center and south will remain spring – in the north 13-15°С, in the rest of the continent 16-18°С, in other regions 17-19°С.

ATTICA

Partly cloudy, which will increase until noon. Visibility is limited in the morning and evening. Wind variable, from 2 to 3 on the Beaufort scale, in the evening northeast to 4 on the Beaufort scale. Temperature: From 8-18°С.

THESSALONIKI

Cloudy in the morning. Fog in the morning and evening. Wind variable from 2 to 3 on the Beaufort scale. Temperature 6-14°C.

MACEDONIA, THRACY

Partly cloudy in places, increasing until noon. Limited visibility due to morning fog. The wind is variable, from 2 to 3 points on the Beaufort scale. Temperature 4-15°C, in western Macedonia 3-5 degrees lower.

IONIAN ISLANDS, EPIRUS, WESTERN STEREA, WESTERN PELOPONNESE

Slightly cloudy until noon. Fogs are predominantly in continental areas in the morning. Wind south, from 2 to 4 points, gradually variable from 2 to 3 points on the Beaufort scale. Temperature 7-18°C. In the interior of Epirus, it is 4-5 degrees lower.

THESSALIA, EAST STEREA, EAST PELOPONNESE

Clouds in the morning. Fog predominantly in continental areas in the morning. The wind is variable, from 2 to 3 points, the direction will gradually change to the north, up to 4 points on the Beaufort scale. Temperature 5-18°C. In Thessaly-Macedonia, it is 2-3 degrees lower.

CYCLADES, CRETE

Partly cloudy weather, variable wind, 2-3 points on the Beaufort scale, in the evening north – from 3 to 4 points. Temperature 9-18°C.

EASTERN AEGEAN ISLANDS – DODECANES

Cloudy with a chance of light rain. The wind is variable, from 2 to 4 points on the Beaufort scale, gradually turning into the north with the same intensity. The temperature is 13-19°C, in the north it is 3-4 degrees lower.

Cloudy, visibility in the morning and evening hours is limited, fog. Wind from the north, from 2 to 4 on the Beaufort scale. Temperature 4-17°C.
