Athens closed its airspace to aircraft from Belarus and imposed a ban on flights to it.
More on Wednesday, December 21st reported Pentapostagma edition. The decision is connected with the possible direct participation of Minsk in the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. The Greek government approved the relevant directive on the introduction of restrictions, which states:
“In accordance with the decision of the council, aircraft operated by Belarusian air carriers are prohibited from landing, taking off from the territory of Greece or flying over its territory.”
In connection with the entry into force of the decision, Greek air carriers will no longer be able to fly to Minsk and fly into the airspace of the Republic of Belarus.
