On one of the banners they also wrote “Neither with NATO, nor with NATO.” Answering a question from a RIA Novosti correspondent about such a strange wording, the organizers stressed that this is irony about some parties that say “neither with Russia, nor with NATO “. That’s why we wrote “neither with NATO, nor with NATO.” You can’t put Russia together with the imperialists on the same level. Everyone here supports Russia in the fight against fascism,” the participants said.

One activist said that the bureaucracy in the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) is trying to manipulate the international communist movement by claiming “equal distancing”, leading to a split in the party. “Many members of the KKE do not agree with the leadership, they support Russia and believe that it is fighting for its independence, and not just against Nazism, but they cannot openly express their position,” he said. According to the rally participants, the leftist movements, including those in Greece, are under enormous pressure from the authorities.

At the rally, the slogans “Americans are the killers of peoples”, “NATO, get out of Ukraine”, “Money for education and health care, not for the war in Ukraine” were chanted at the rally. An address from the forum of the World Anti-Imperialist Platform was also read out. “The imperialists will not be satisfied with anything less than the complete destruction of Russia as an independent state, dividing it into controlled parts, subjugating and exploiting its people, and openly plundering its resources by transnational corporations. For decades, the United States and its allies have been preparing the peoples of Eastern Europe to so that they are ready to serve them as soldiers in this mission,” the appeal reads.

As the authors of the document note, in Poland, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia, the same tactics were used as in Ukraine, communism was declared a crime, and the Nazis and their accomplices in World War II were made national heroes. “From kindergartens to universities, from museums to monuments, history has been rewritten, fratricidal nationalism has taken the place of socialist brotherhood,” the appeal says. The platform stated that now in Kosovo they continue to terrorize the population, a regime of nationalists has been created there, similar to which the people of Donbass are fighting. “Our duty is to unite with all opponents of imperialism and cooperate with them until the defeat of the NATO alliance,” the appeal says.
