Deviating from the pan-European sentiment, most Greeks disapprove of the European Union’s military support for Ukraine in the aftermath of the Russian invasion.
In the related question of the parliamentary Eurobarometer for autumn 2022, the majority of citizens in 24 member states approve of the position taken by EUwith the exception of Slovakia, Bulgaria and Greece, which have the lowest percentage (49%, 48% and 48% respectively).
The highest rates were recorded in Sweden (97%), Finland (95%), the Netherlands (93%), Portugal (92%) and Denmark (92%).
The same poll showed that three-quarters of European citizens (73%) agree with specific measures taken by the EU, namely sanctions against the Russian government, as well as economic, military and humanitarian support for Ukraine. Once again, Greece is at the very bottom of the rankings, with just 46%.
And how are you? Do you agree that the EU supplies arms and humanitarian aid to Ukraine?
