Office computers with information on pending cases were stolen from the Piraeus Administrative Court of First Instance – the criminals broke into seven offices.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, November 14, early in the morning in the courthouse on Gunari Street. How informs CNN Greece, court archives, chairmen’s offices, computer room and other offices hacked. Most importantly, the criminals may have gained access to sensitive files.
The President of the Judicial Chamber of the Administrative Court of First Instance of Piraeus emphasizes that “the above event occurred due to the complete lack of security measures for the building and, in particular, the lack of police protection, security doors, alarms, cameras, entry control cars, etc.” He stated: “This unfortunate fact makes it necessary to take these measures, and we hope for a speedy response from the relevant departments.”
