After issuing a benefit of 200-250 euros to support citizens during the holiday period, which will be made before Christmas, the government is also considering the possibility of issuing a monthly “inflation allowance”.
Among the new measures proposed by the government to support vulnerable citizens is a monthly support. A decision is expected to be made soon.
According to the ant1 TV channel, the issue of a monthly voucher is being studied, which will be provided to poor citizens so that they can make the necessary purchases. This is done in order to “cover” any price increase.
The amount will be fixed and monthly and will be paid to vulnerable populations based on income criteria.
However, in addition to the 3.5 billion euros already announced to support vulnerable households, the 2023 budget will be increased.
