Naked visitors filmed in a beauty salon with a hidden camera

A shocking complaint was received from a client of a beauty salon in Thessaloniki about the illegal actions of the management. As it is written in a statement to the police, “a video surveillance camera was installed in the room, naked women got into the lens of it.”

The client’s complaint “led” to the arrest of the owner of the beauty salon for violating the law on personal data, and a corresponding case was initiated against her. In particular, a 46-year-old entrepreneur received a complaint from a client, according to which CCTV cameras were installed in the area where laser depilation services were provided (including the bikini area). The lady discovered the presence of a camera, which was inconspicuously placed high on the wall.

The police officers who arrived at the scene, according to APE-MPE, found a camera, and a recording device in the next room. The authorities arrested the owner of the salon at the direction of the prosecutor. The detained woman, together with the case brought against her, will be brought to the competent judicial authority of Thessaloniki.
