A young Albanian man confessed to the murder of his girlfriend by voluntarily calling the police. From his confused speech, it became clear that he was pathologically jealous of the girl and, during the showdown, shot her twice in the head.
To the terrible list murders of women by their partners and husbands in Greece, another tragic case was added, an Albanian shot his compatriot, and then surrendered to the authorities. So far, the exact circumstances of the tragic incident have not been established, but it seems that insane jealousy, obsessions and cocaine led to the fact that the bartender brutally cracked down on his cohabitant.
The guy worked in one of the bars in the Τρούμπα area (Piraeus) and that day, as usual, he returned from work in the morning, along with his 19-year-old cohabitant. It is reported that the girl also worked in a nightly entertainment establishment, but in a different area – Kallithea. At some point, the couple began to swear, there was a fierce quarrel between them. The young man, according to his statement to the police, “during the quarrel, I did not understand what was happening … I was terribly angry, pulled out a gun and shot her in the head.” The attacker also claimed that he realized what he had done only when the drugs he had taken earlier (cocaine) stopped working on his body. Then he allegedly “woke up” and called the police.
The area of the tragedy remains cordoned off as police look for the weapon in the house where the gunman said he left it. Friends and colleagues of the couple are shocked by the crime.
