This, combined with Mr. Mitsotakis’ interest in environmental issues, which have been central to Charles’s agenda for the past few years and at the heart of the mission of his The Prince’s Trust, has opened up a channel of communication on a personal level. And while Mitsotakis may not have met his new British counterpart, Rishi Sunak, during this visit, given the severe turmoil in the British economy, he did have the opportunity to speak with the British monarch over tea, given the timing of the meeting.

The turning point in the relationship between the two men was a tour that the then Prince of Wales gave Kyriakos Mitsotakis last April to Dumfries House in Scotland, with Mitsotakis visiting both the historic building and the estate. This meeting focused on the government’s plans for the development of Tatoi, in which Charles had taken a personal interest. Since the grandiose palace, the residence of a dynasty of nobles who lived here from 1759 to 1993, was designed by three leading architects of the 18th century, the brothers Robert, John and James Adam. It is also equipped with priceless handmade wooden furniture, which is why the main palace is now preserved as a museum to visit. Dumfries House, like Tatoi, is also the engine of the local economy, employing hundreds of local residents and serving as a magnet for many visitors from all over the world, not just from the UK.

It is also a “guide” to the Tatoi estate, for which the restoration of many buildings and territories is planned, including the old palace, palace gardens, kitchens, stables, as well as the restoration-preservation of about 50,000 movable objects and the digitization-preservation of about 10,000 documents. The state restores and manages 32 buildings, and 22 buildings can be provided for the use of private investors.

The plan also provides for the creation of functional infrastructure on 670 hectares of land. At the same time, the necessary environmental and transport studies are already underway, as well as cooperation between the ministries of culture and sports, and infrastructure and transport to modernize public transport and roads in order to facilitate access to Tatoi facilities.

Some Greek journalists believe that the topic was indicated by Tata as a distraction, and the main reason for visiting Winsor Palace was the personal communication of two high-ranking Freemasons.
