In different countries EU, during a pan-European special operation, more than 40 members of one of the most dangerous criminal networks were arrested. Europol’s official website says:
“During the operation, 44 people belonging to one of the most dangerous criminal networks in the European Union were arrested.”
Law enforcement agencies of 11 countries took part in a large-scale operation. The investigation, which was conducted in eight countries, uncovered criminal organizations carrying out criminal activities in the European Union and beyond. Their illicit enrichment was linked to money laundering and drug trafficking.
At the same time, 94 searches were carried out on November 22 at the heads of criminal organizations and their members throughout Europe. The activities of an extensive network of organizations extended to the Czech Republic, Poland, Latvia and Lithuania, Germany and France, and Slovakia.
In the message Europol It is said that the international special operation took place after investigations conducted by the Lithuanian Prosecutor General’s Office together with partners in the Czech Republic, Latvia, France, Germany, Poland, Norway, Slovakia, Hungary, Spain and the United States, under the coordination of Eurojust and Europol.
