There are two ways to obtain a residence permit digital nomad in Greece:

  1. After obtaining a national visa type D, which is issued to the interested party by the competent consular authority of Greece.
  2. Upon entry into Greece, the person concerned, without having to obtain a type D visa, i.e. on a visa with a different purpose, for example, for tourism (tourist visa type C), or in accordance with a visa-free regime (90 days).

The interested person has the opportunity, during the period of validity of this visa, to apply to the Ministry of Migration and Asylum for a residence permit digital nomad. In this case, in addition to supporting the above documents, the applicants also provide an apartment / house rental agreement or a real estate purchase and sale agreement in Greece.

The validity of the residence permit is two years and each time there is the possibility of extending for two years, subject to the legal prerequisites, in particular, for this you need to live in Greece permanently, at least half the time of the residence permit (from 6 months per year), and maintain the established minimum income.
