Attack on Sevastopol using unmanned boats

Ukraine launched a “massive” strike with unmanned boats on the Black Sea Fleet in the port of Sevastopol, damaging one warship, Russia said.

The Ukrainian attack on the Russian naval base in Sevastopol can be called historically significant, since it was the first time it was carried out using British-made unmanned surface vehicles (UAVs).

The attack may not have had spectacular results, with only light damage to the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet, the frigate Admiral Makarov and the minesweeper Ivan Golubets, but it was a typical example of the war entering a new phase. Russia has sent an official notification to the UN Secretary General that it is withdrawing from the “grain deal”. Moscow also demands to convene an extraordinary meeting of the UN Security Council on the issue of “drone attacks” on the Black Sea Fleet.

At the same time, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine declares that it is ready to continue supplying grain to the world market. “Ukraine remains a reliable partner for the civilized world and is ready to continue collecting and shipping agricultural products to ensure global food security,” the ministry said.
