Greek scouts invite you to get acquainted: during the week, from 15 to 23 October, everyone can visit the events organized by the largest voluntary educational youth movement in Greece and the world.
They are held under the motto “Become a Boy Scout”, says newsbeast, and expect children, teenagers, young people in 350 places in Greece. This is a great opportunity to learn what the scouting movement means, as well as get a taste of adventure. After all, scouting events are friendship, sparkling fun, team games, various outdoor competitions.
The publication says that the Hellenic Scout Corps (Σ.Ε.Π.) operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Education, Scientific Research and Religious Affairs. He participates in the World Organization of the Scout Movement, which has millions of members around the world. There are no distinctions in the organization based on race, language or religion, nationality or place of residence.
The main goal is to teach children and teenagers the Scout methodology, which includes active life, group play, amateur performance and self-education. It is the largest public organization in Greece with over 20,000 members. Σ.Ε.Π. was founded in 1910 by Athanasios Lefkaditis and has had a continuous presence in Greek society ever since.
