One gets the feeling that in recent months an epidemic of pedophilia has begun in Greece. How else to explain the fact that there are weekly reports in the media about the rape of minors? This time we learned about the story of an 11 year old girl who was raped by a 30 year old Iraqi in the city Katerini.
According to Elina Diamantopoulou’s report on Fact Check with Vaso Likurinu, the 11-year-old girl was playing with her friend in Macedonia Square in the center of Katerini.
A 30-year-old Iraqi man approached two children and persuaded one of them to follow him. It is not known what arguments the man found, but the girl went with him to an apartment a few minutes walk from the square, where the man raped her.
Some time later, after her friend left with a man, the second girl went to her mother, who was with them in the square, and told that her friend had been taken away by a man, after which the woman notified the police about the incident.
The police immediately arrived at the square and the 11-year-old girl was found with a 30-year-old Iraqi on the city’s main pedestrian street. The foreigner was arrested.
In the presence of a child psychologist, the minor confessed to the police what happened and said that the 30-year-old boy “hurt me”. After that, a forensic medical examination was carried out, which confirmed that the child had been raped.
A few days later, an 11-year-old girl was admitted to the children’s psychiatric clinic of the Papanicolaou hospital for 10 days …
