An ideal car paint has been developed that reflects infrared radiation and allows the air in the cabin to remain cool even in extreme heat.
Thus, the paintwork can effectively replace the air conditioner, absorbing up to 98% of the sun’s rays. The authors of the unique development – scientists from the American Purdue University, they have created an innovative white paint. Details of the innovative discovery are available at official website university. The invention took its rightful place in the Guinness Book of Records as “the whitest paint in the world.”
The new enamel reflects 98.1% of sunlight and infrared radiation, thanks to which the surfaces painted with it not only do not heat up, but also allow the temperature to be kept 4.5 degrees below the ambient temperature. The development of American inventors makes it possible not to turn on the air conditioner in any vehicle painted with such a coating in the heat – a car, a bus, an airplane. And this, in turn, will save fuel and reduce harmful emissions into the atmosphere.
