Mandatory rapid test for unvaccinated workers in Greece

The Ministry of Health has made it mandatory for all unvaccinated public and commercial workers in Greece to undergo a rapid test for Covid-19 once a week.

Until at least December 31, 2022, the rapid test for unvaccinated employees is still mandatory. The employee is required to pay 6 euros for a rapid test. Usually out of pocket…

Private and non-government sector workers must present a negative rapid test result or a digital certificate of illness or immunization. This decision is part of the law, the decision on which was made on Thursday 29 September at the plenary session of Parliament.

Among other things, the bill also provides for the continuation of the work of vaccination centers and vaccination at home by private doctors. It should be recalled that from September 27, a platform for making an appointment with doctors for newly received vaccines against Covid-19 Omicron variant BA.4 and BA.5 is open, 4th booster vaccination against the Omicron strain. Vaccination with drugs Pfizer BA1 and BA 5 will start on Monday 3 October 2022.

It should be noted that doctors prohibit booster vaccinations without primary vaccination, that is, one or two doses of vaccines, depending on the type and company.
