A Greek-Australian martial artist beat up two tourists in a bar on Ios.
One of the victims was so severely injured that he had to be taken by helicopter to the hospital in Athens, writes newsbeast.gr.
The perpetrator left the bar with a friend and tried to leave the island in a private boat. However, the police were able to locate him and arrest him.
The athlete, who “practiced” the techniques of Thai boxing, was transferred to the Naxos prosecutor’s office. He has a deadline for an apology.
Earlier, we talked about how an eight-year-old boy in Crete neutralized a robber using Thai boxing techniques. The fearless little boy aroused respect and pride for his ward from his coach, a martial arts teacher. The boy’s trainer, proud of little Giannis, stressed how important self-defense is, especially in these days with the rise in crime.
