Serious incident: two tourists severely beaten on the island of Ios

A Greek-Australian martial artist beat up two tourists in a bar on Ios.

One of the victims was so severely injured that he had to be taken by helicopter to the hospital in Athens, writes newsbeast.gr.

The perpetrator left the bar with a friend and tried to leave the island in a private boat. However, the police were able to locate him and arrest him.

The athlete, who “practiced” the techniques of Thai boxing, was transferred to the Naxos prosecutor’s office. He has a deadline for an apology.
