Intensive inspections of school canteens took place in educational institutions of all levels on the eve of their opening. The inspection was carried out by the competent authorities of the Attica region before the start of the academic year.
Particular attention was paid to canteens, kiosks and catering places of schools in order to verify compliance with sanitary and hygienic standards for edible products.
The Governor of Attica, Yorgos Patoulis, in his statements stressed the concern of the authorities to ensure “adequate conditions for the health and safety of students throughout the school year.” He also informs parents and guardians that “the region of Attica and its competent authorities will pay special attention to the strict observance of all the foreseen health measures in order to fully protect the health of the younger generation.”
