Yesterday, 30 August, NATO Land Command (LANDCOM), based in Izmir, congratulated Turkey with its national holiday – the day when the victory of the Turkish army over the Greek troops in the battle of August 30, 1922 in Dublupinar in Asia Minor.
In addition to addressing the Permanent Representative of Greece to the Alliance to Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, the Greek military to NATO will make a similar presentation at the Supreme Headquarters of NATO (SHAPE), to which the headquarters of the Ground Forces also reports.
