Tourism revenues are encouraging

According to the Bank of Greece, in June this year, state treasury revenues from visitors to Greece reached $2.6 billion, exceeding the corresponding figures of the record year 2019.

Minister Vassilis Kikilias mentioned the increase in tourism receipts in a Twitter post, noting that “this happened in a difficult year with many large-scale crises.”

“According to official data from the Bank of Greece, travel revenues in June are $2.6 billion, which is higher than the corresponding figures for 2019. In a difficult year with multiple crises, we continue to work hard to support the average Greek family,” the Minister of Tourism said in a statement.
