Stray dogs attacked the boy, as a result of which he ended up in the hospital. The attack took place at noon on the square of the village of Stirfaka (Fthiotida). The boy was saved by a neighbor who heard his call for help.
According to the post lamiareport.gr, A 10-year-old child was walking alone in the community square of Stirfaka at noon yesterday when he was attacked by two large stray dogs. One of them even knocked the child to the ground and began to bite his stomach, arms and legs.
“The neighbor heard the barking and screams of the child, ran out into the street and saved the boy. I don’t even want to think what would have happened if the man, for example, had not been at home… Children often play in the square, but yesterday at noon the boy was alone and was walking home when the dogs attacked him. One of the attackers was a puppy bitch. Maybe it seemed to her that someone is a danger to her offspring… I don’t know…”, – said the resident of the village.
The juvenile in Phthiotis is in a bad psychological state. The child was taken by ambulance to the Lamia hospital, where doctors took care of him. For the next ten days, he will have to go to the local hospital every day for outpatient treatment. “The child is in a bad psychological state… These dogs must be immediately removed from our village,” says one of the residents.
The event was recorded by the police called to the scene, and the animal protection organization and the relevant department of the municipality were informed.
