Watermelon granite will make the summer a little cooler

Ice cream and granites are the favorite choice of “young and old” in the summer season. The “king” of fruits (although it is a berry), in the hot period, is, of course, watermelon. And it’s hard to argue with that.

Today we will share with you the easiest and fastest watermelon granita recipe. Try making a delicious summer drink that your friends and family will love.

Recipe for watermelon granita. Ingredients:

  • 400 gr. watermelon (pulp, pitted)
  • 50 g honey or agave syrup
  • ice.

Cooking:

Cut the watermelon into very small pieces and remove the pits. Put in a blender, bring to a homogeneous mass. Then put into ice molds (prefer silicone or plastic, not disposable).

Place in the freezer for several hours. When the watermelon sorbet is ready (frozen), place it in a blender along with honey or agave syrup (depending on how sweet you want the granita), add crushed ice (fine crumbs) and mix well*.

**Please note that crushing ice in a blender (or crushing something frozen, as in this case, watermelon cubes), you need a special tool. Otherwise, the knife may “not overpower” the solid products folded into it and simply break. If you have there is no blender with a special knife at hand (as stated in the instructions for the household appliance), then do not risk. Just cool a little (not until completely frozen) watermelon mass, put it in a glass and add ice with syrup (if you like sweet).
