A 92-year-old man’s dive from a 6-meter tower in Rhodes scored 1.5 million likes

A video appeared on Instagram in which a 92-year-old grandfather from the island of Rhodes dives from a 6-meter tower into the sea.

The video was posted on Instagram and immediately got a lot of likes. The woman who posted the video, after the success of her material, got in touch with subscribers to provide more information about the “protagonist of the day” in Rhodes.

The elderly athlete is very modest and did not want to be called his name. He prefers to be called “G”. He is 92 and loves the sea and adventure, which he says “keeps him on his toes” and keeps him interested in life.

“Hero of the day” was delighted to learn that the video with his participation has become viral.

“On our last day in Greece, this gentleman (probably in his 80s), after swimming in the sea, slowly climbed the jumping tower set up on the pier… The entire beach watched with bated breath. The man looked up at the deep blue of the waves and concentrated before taking a leap into the sea.

Just imagine, this 6-meter concrete structure is in the middle of the sea. It takes 5 minutes of swimming to get to it and swim against the current. Next, you need to overcome 30 steep steps to climb the tower. And after diving into the sea, another 5 minutes of swimming to get back to the shore!

This is a delightful, sincere moment captured by @mrjesserose that touched my soul and made me think about this gentleman and his position in life…

In pursuit of adventure, “your young self” always lives inside of you. You have nothing to fear but fear itself.
It is useless to be afraid of the inevitable… So live life to the fullest!!!!

We were able to track him down and contact him through close family friends. Out of respect, we are not going to reveal his name. However, “G” (as we’ll call him) is very happy that you all enjoyed watching him take part in his favorite daily “adventure”

I can also tell you that “G” is from Rhodes, he is 92 years old and enjoys another morning on the beach after breakfast of 4 raw eggs with a wedge of lemon!!!”
