Another confirmation of the “disgusting reputation” of the infamous ATVs as “killers” came in today, August 5th.
A young tourist died in a traffic accident while traveling with her friend on a quad bike rented in Rhodes (“γουρούνων”).
According to information from the site “rodiaki.gr”, the unfortunate girl was a passenger, and her boyfriend was driving the ATV. As it became known, the guy at some point lost control, as a result of which the colossus crashed into the wall at full speed. The accident happened at noon on Rodu-Kaliteja Avenue, as a result of which a young foreign woman received fatal injuries.
According to ERT, this is the 2nd accident involving “γουρούνων” that has occurred over the past two days in the capital of the Dodecanese. Last night, a 54-year-old foreigner died in a similar situation when the four-wheeled motorcycle he was riding swerved, veered off course and overturned.
