Fatal was the ride in the elevator of a 26-year-old young man, who was overtaken by a terrible death there.
A young student, shortly after midnight, tried to lower the refrigerator down on a mobile cart using the elevator. For reasons still unknown, presumably due to the vibration caused by the movement of the elevator, the refrigerator literally crushed the guy, leading to his tragic death, according to the information. Rescuers from the Serres fire service rushed to the aid of the victim, who managed to rescue the young man from the elevator. The unfortunate student was taken by ambulance to the local general hospital, where, unfortunately, he was pronounced dead. A preliminary investigation into the exact cause of death is being conducted by the Serres Police Department.
