Prominent Greek businesswoman found dead in her home

It is worth noting that in 2011, her father, Angelos Angelopoulos, was killed in an ambush arranged for him when he was returning from a night out.

Marita Angelopoulou has been running a business in the catering industry for many years. She has been a host, a beauty pageant judge with her online show, an active social media user, and the owner of the famous Anonimo beach shop in Logos.

Marita tragically lost her father Angelos, a math teacher and high school owner. He was found murdered on February 3, 2011 near his home in Aigio.

“This is an event that shocked, first of all, my inner world, my whole existence. You either get stronger or you collapse. I decided to get stronger. My father’s principles and values ​​were my strength not to “fall”– she told about the tragic incident.

It all happened at midnight on February 3, when 59-year-old Angelos Angelopoulos was killed in the garage of an apartment building on Meletopoulon Street in Aigio. A 23-year-old man shot him with a single-barreled hunting rifle. On November 11 of the same year, four people aged 27, 24, 23 and 25 years old (three men and a partner of a 27-year-old guy) were arrested for the murder.

They confessed to the crime and claimed to have acted on the instructions and orders of a 46-year-old Aegialian businessman, a former partner of the victim, who claimed to be in financial disagreement with Angelopoulos.

In April 2013, the Pyrgos Joint Jury sentenced three defendants (including the main one) to life imprisonment, the fourth to 18 years in prison and acquitted the 25-year-old.
